Privacy Policy
Father and Sons Home Watch and Maintenance LLC ("we", "us", or "Father & Sons") operates the private homeowner and staff portal available at portal.fshomewatch.com (the "Portal"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Portal, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The Portal is a private application used by our own customers, staff, and the co-owners they invite. It is not a public marketplace, advertising platform, or general consumer application.
About our brands. Father and Sons Home Watch and Maintenance LLC (a Florida limited-liability company, Document No. L24000169456) does business under two names: Father & Sons Home Watch for home-watch monitoring and inspections, and Father and Sons Handyman Service Pros (a registered Florida fictitious name of the same LLC, Registration No. G26000059660) for repairs and maintenance projects. Both are the same legal entity. This Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected in connection with either brand, whether through the Portal, on an invoice, or during in-person service at your property.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to homeowners, co-owners, and staff (technicians and admins) who sign in to the Portal, and to homeowners who receive services under either the Father & Sons Home Watch or Father and Sons Handyman Service Pros trade name. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to.
2. What we collect
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Account information | Name, email address, phone number, role (homeowner / staff), and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider). |
| Property information | Property name, street address, community, property type, access codes, vehicles, hurricane-shutter details, and other information you or your co-owners provide about the home you own or co-own. |
| Occupancy information | Dates you or guests will occupy or vacate the property, and related notes you choose to share. |
| Service and inspection records | Home-watch reports, pre-arrival and post-departure reports, work orders, supply requests, comments, and photos taken by staff during visits. |
| Communications | Messages and notes you exchange with the Father & Sons Home Watch team through the Portal, and email notifications sent to you. |
| Billing information | Property-to-QuickBooks-customer mapping and invoice status. Payment-card details are not collected or stored by Father & Sons Home Watch; they are entered directly into a hosted Intuit payment page. |
| Device and log information | Basic information your browser sends when you connect (IP address, browser type, timestamps), and diagnostic logs required to operate the Portal securely. |
3. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Schedule and perform home-watch visits at your property;
- Deliver inspection reports, service updates, and administrative notices to you;
- Communicate with you about your account, service requests, or billing;
- Generate invoices in QuickBooks Online and, where enabled, provide you a link to Intuit's hosted payment page;
- Detect and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, and other security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- Improve the Portal.
4. Where and how we store it
Data collected through the Portal is stored with third-party service providers located in the United States. Access is restricted to authorized Father & Sons Home Watch staff and, for their own property records, the homeowners and co-owners themselves. Data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest by our storage provider.
5. Service providers we share information with
We share information only with the service providers we need to operate the Portal, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their service to us. These include:
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party marketing services.
6. Email and notifications
Homeowners receive transactional emails (report notifications, occupancy confirmations, password resets, invitations) as part of the service. You can turn most notification categories on or off from the Settings → Email notifications screen inside the Portal. Password-reset and invitation emails are considered essential to account security and cannot be disabled.
7. Cookies and local storage
The Portal uses browser local storage and service-worker caching to keep you signed in and to make the app work offline for reference material. It does not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access & correction. You can view most of your account and property information directly in the Portal and update it yourself, or ask us to update it.
- Deletion. You can ask us to deactivate your account and delete personal information we hold about you, subject to records we are required to retain for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.
- Portability. You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you in a common electronic format.
- Notification opt-out. You can turn off non-essential email notifications in the Settings screen.
Requests can be sent to skipr@fshomewatch.com.
9. Data retention
We keep account and service records for as long as your property is under a Father & Sons Home Watch service agreement, and for a reasonable period afterward to support any billing, warranty, or dispute resolution. Photos and reports may be retained longer as part of the property's historical service record. When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.
10. Children
The Portal is intended for adult property owners, co-owners, and staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
11. Third-party links
The Portal may link to third-party websites (for example, an Intuit-hosted payment page). Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies; this policy does not apply to them.
12. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information collected through the Portal, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest, row-level access controls, and multi-factor authentication for staff accounts. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, please notify us immediately.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version at this URL and update the "Effective" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted for a reasonable period on the Portal.
14. Contact us
